A Day In The Life

Today was 'Day In The Life' day where we visit a local village, visit the school which is supported in part by Grand Circle, the mother company of our tour outfit, interact with a family in their home, and visit a local market.

Everywhere we went in Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa, from poor, rural areas to modern, vibrant cities, the people loved to sing...

Water is all... our tour company, Grand Circle, has helped fund efforts to drill water wells in outlying rural areas, allowing people to live dignified lives, and allowing schools to be built and to function...

Always a song...

This woman wanted to pose for a photo with Jan wearing her chitenge, a colorful wrap-around cloth skirt which can also be used to carry an infant or other load...

A bustard... saved from ignominy by the fortuitous placement of a vowel...

Sea eagle...

Zebra's are so photogenic... the locals pronounce it as in Debra...
